Al’h’aa Eid Holiday

People of Maldives celebrate 2 eid very differently . Eid-ul fithr ( Kuda Eid) & Eid alha (Bodu Eid) are the major two Muslims festival that Maldivians celebrate .

My eid day started with special family breakfast.. After Eid prayer me and huby gave gifts for kids. My Sister in law  prepare  special lunch . My mother in law prepare special yummy! sweet pie "venbolhu" and Maldivian style of donuts " Gorey" . i took myself rest 2 days without cook .

Weather is not good during the Eid holiday. Governments offices and schools close 5 days. so many people visited island for celebrating eid,  MBC organized eid ufaa 1433 in Meemu Atoll Mulah. Nonstop programs are telecasting  live stage shows from different islands. There is nothing to do in Capital during the eid , only local Tv  programs related eid.

Me and Huby went walk after Asuru prayer . luckily  the  Transport Authority has decided that Male’ will be a traffic free zone between 4:00pm and 10:00pm . so many families like us are enjoying the walk on the roadside.

We reach home before Maqrib prayer.. all are happy cox huby brought them Chocolate cold drinks.
