The Dehiwala is the only proper Zoo in Sri Lanka and is owned and operated by the Government. Its just 10 kilometers south of Colombo.

We reach there in the evening. First we went the aquarium wow, I never see well decorative fish tanks in the walls. So many verities of fish, collection of corals,echinodermates, arthropods and molluscans with information boards.

After the Aquarium we wait to in the bench for the sea lion show. So many locals’ families, foreigners are waiting to the show.

Kids Really enjoy the sea lion performance.sometimes the sea lion (Seal) are not following the command of the instructor,than audience enjoyed it. After the Great Sea lion show we walk to see the other animal in the cage .

One of other greatest attractions is the elephant performance, where they dance to music, hoping on one foot and standing on their hind legs.

We Enjoy a lot in the zoo, we visit different type of Zoo in different Country , Dehiwala zoo is the best Zoo we visited. Well maintained, Friendly staffs, Guide service, make it on gear. I'm so happy my kids enjoy a lot, sure we will love Visit again again :) Have a great Day Readers .
