Day 3: Dambulla –Matale - Kandy

The Wedding ....
We left the hotel at about 9am after breakfast. On the way our driver stops the van in front of Dhambulla cave temple. That is the latest archaeological site of significant historical importance found in Dambulla.

On the way back to Kandy, we visited a Ranweli Spice Garden, Matale, about 100 kms (2.5 hrs) from Anuradhapura. An Herbal doctor Explained  about all the different varieties of spices and herbs and their medicinal prowess. He explained to us the medicinal values of various herbs such as cardamom, aloe vera, nutmeg, sandalwood, etc. Huby took a Herbal Massage, Ninno (Anaan) My son, Like the Complementary Herbal spice Tea.

Huby get a Body massage and information related on his passion. The information and demonstration on the use of ayurvedic medicinal is provided an herbal Dr. various herbal medicinal products were on sale and Huby bought a bottle of herbal balm made of native medicinal plants to use against headache.

A distance of roughly 30 kms from Matale to Kandy. Driver Stop High way road to buy Sweet corn for Caby , Yummy! Natural Snack !!!!  When we arrive it was evening.

After check in the hotel we left to see the Kandyan Dance show. Its organized by the Kandy Lake Club Dance Ensemble daily at 5.30 pm at 7, Sangamitta Mawatha, Kandy (Off Malabar Street). Our Driver is already took our tickets. As many as 12 different dances of Sri Lanka were presented within a span of one hour, from the Ceremonial Drums to the Peacock Dance, the Devil Dance, the Fire Dance, the Harvest Dance and the Drum Orchestra. Tickets were LKR 500/-

After the show we went KFC  and the shopping. everywhere in Kandy seem very crowded by Tourist . Santha said  during this periods its happen every where and today much more cox of our President Mohamed Nasheed visit Sri lankan President Mahindhar Rajpakshe.
